A Little Girl Was Forced to Sleep in a Doghouse Beside

… Until Her Billionaire Father Came Home and Made One Move That Changed Their Lives Forever
A little girl clutched her ten-month-old baby brother tightly, tears streaming down her face as her stepmother dragged them toward the old doghouse.
“Please... don't make us stay here!” Harper Langley begged.
But at that very moment, the front gate swung open, and her father returned home—a billionaire whose very next move left everyone standing in stunned silence.
Crash.
The sharp sound of breaking glass echoed through the kitchen.
Harper had accidentally dropped a glass of water with her tiny hands.
Cold water spread across the polished tile floor, carrying shards of glass in every direction.
Little Mason, her ten-month-old baby brother, burst into frightened tears from his walker.
Harper trembled as she hurried toward him.
“My stepmother will never forgive me,” she whispered.
Ever since her mother had died giving birth to Mason, Harper had become quiet, independent, and fiercely protective of her baby brother.
At only eight years old, she understood survival better than most adults.
Her mother had chosen Mason's life over her own when a life-threatening illness endangered them both.
From that day on, warmth disappeared from the Langley mansion.
“Harper, what have you done this time?”
Miranda Prescott's voice sliced through the silence like a knife.
She strode into the kitchen, her high heels clicking sharply against the floor, her perfectly styled hair untouched despite her growing rage.
Her elegant appearance could not hide the cruelty burning in her eyes.
Harper dropped to her knees, trying to gather the broken glass.
Tiny cuts quickly appeared across her small hands.
“I'm sorry... I'll clean it up. Please don't be angry,” she whispered.
Miranda laughed coldly.
“Clean it up? You useless little girl. All you ever do is create problems.”
She grabbed Harper by the arm and yanked her to her feet, scattering the glass across the floor again.
Mason cried even harder.
Miranda shoved the baby roughly into Harper's arms.
“Take this noisy little brat with you!” she hissed.
Before Harper could steady herself, Miranda dragged both children down the hallway, shaking them as though they were nothing more than unwanted luggage.
“Please... don't!” Harper cried.
The back door flew open.
Miranda shoved them toward the old doghouse.
She forced both children inside.
Then she slammed the door shut and locked it from the outside.
Darkness surrounded them.
Harper wrapped both arms around Mason as his frightened cries echoed through the tiny wooden shelter.
Standing outside, Miranda sneered through the door.
“You disgusting little pests. If either of you says one word to your father, you'll regret it.”
Harper lowered her head and whispered through her tears,

“Please... don't hate my little brother. I'll do anything... just don't hurt him.”
