Chapter 19
The autumn returned with quiet peace,
the festival over and town returning,
to its regular slow coastal rhythm.
The money from the big concert,
was added to Violet's college fund,
ensuring her academic future was bright.
She was a normal happy teenager,
balancing her music with school studies,
and her fun adventures with Tommy.
They spent their weekends exploring caves,
along the rocky shore of beach,
collecting treasures from the deep sea.
Quincy's business was expanding very well,
hiring two young local apprentices now,
to help in boat restoration workshop.
He taught them the old skills,
just as Arthur had taught him,
passing down the valuable ancient craft.
He was a respected boss man,
known for his fairness and honesty,
a true leader in the community.

Eleanor started a small beach café,
near the entrance of the pier,
selling Martha's famous baked goods there.
It became a popular gathering spot,
filled with warmth and good food,
the walls decorated with Quincy's art.
She loved her simple new job,
talking with neighbors and visitors daily,
her life full of active purpose.
The old trauma was completely gone,
a distant memory from another life,
that could never hurt her again.
One sunny afternoon a woman entered,
the small busy beach side café,
holding a familiar old leather bag.
It was the kind victim advocate,
who had helped them escape Ohio,
so many long painful years ago.
She had traveled to the coast,
just to see how they were,
and to enjoy the beautiful scenery.
Eleanor recognized her instantly and ran,
to hug her with deep gratitude,
tears of joy filling her eyes.
She showed the advocate her café,
and then took her to studio,
introducing her to the grown children.
The advocate was amazed by them,
seeing the successful confident young adults,
who had once been terrified refugees.
"You did a wonderful job, Eleanor,"
the advocate said wiping her eyes,
"you saved them and built this."
"This is the most beautiful thing,"
she looked around the bright studio,
"I have ever seen in career."
They shared a wonderful long dinner,
talking about the incredible journey made,
and the bright future ahead of them.
The advocate left the next morning,
her heart filled with deep happiness,
knowing the Vance family was safe.
They had proven that love wins,
May you like
that light can conquer any dark,
and build a paradise from scratch.
