A school project asked students to draw their family.
Jamie spent nearly an hour coloring.

he handed the page to Ethan.
Three people.
One dog they didn't actually own.

"We don't have a dog."
"Not yet."
Sarah smiled.
"Optimistic."
At the bottom of the page,
