Part 2

The flight to Sicily was long and quiet.
The twins slept through the entire journey, exhausted from the midnight escape.
When the jet finally landed, a fleet of three armored vehicles was waiting on the tarmac.
The drive to the Sylvestri estate took them through winding mountain roads.
When the massive iron gates appeared, Lucia felt a heavy weight settle in her chest.
It was a fortress.
High stone walls, security cameras every ten yards, and armed guards patrolling the perimeter.
The boys woke up just as the cars pulled up to the grand entrance of the villa.
They gasped in awe at the massive fountains and the beautiful gardens.
"Is this a castle, Mommy?" Leo asked, his face pressed against the glass.
"It's your home," Tomaso answered before Lucia could speak.
He helped them out of the car.
The house staff was already lined up, bowing their heads in deep respect.
They were shocked to see the Don holding a child's hand, but no one dared to utter a word.
Tomaso led them upstairs to a massive luxury suite.
It had two connected bedrooms, filled with brand new toys, clothes, and games.
He had clearly ordered his staff to prepare everything the moment he found her.
"Let the boys rest," Tomaso told Lucia.
"Then come to my study. We need to talk about the future."
An hour later, after ensuring the twins were comfortable, Lucia walked down the long, familiar hallways.
She pushed open the heavy oak doors of his study.
Tomaso was sitting behind his desk, pouring two glasses of scotch.
He looked up, his eyes dark and intense.
"Sit down, Lucia," he said, sliding a glass toward her.
"I don't want a drink, Tomaso," she said, staying by the door.
"I want to know what your plan is."
Tomaso took a slow sip of his drink.
"The plan is simple. You and the boys stay here."

"Tomorrow, my lawyers will file the paperwork."
"You will marry me, Lucia. Legally this time."
