Chapter 14 - THE COUNTRY CLUB BANISHMENT

The country club,

once a symbol,

of high status,

was completely forced,

to shut down.

The historic building,

was bought out,

by Arthur Vance,

using his money,

to clear debts.

He handed keys,

over to Olivia,

telling her do,

whatever she wanted,

with the property.

Olivia smiled bright,

knowing exactly what,

to do with,

the massive space,

and marble floors.

She converted ballroom,

where she was,

viciously attacked by,

her sister Vanessa,

into community center.

The expensive chandeliers,

were sold off,

to fund kitchens,

for poor people,

and homeless mothers.

The velvet chair,

where Vanessa said,

she did not,

belong to sit,

was thrown away.

In its place,

stood play area,

for small kids,

filled with toys,

and soft mats.

The country club,

was renamed completely,

"The Sarah Center,"

opening its doors,

to everyone clear.

The wealthy elites,

who once ruled,

the place proudly,

were banned forever,

from entering doors.

Aunt Helen walked,

past the center,

one rainy afternoon,

looking through glass,

seeing poor children.

She saw Olivia,

standing right there,

handing out food,

looking like angel,

surrounded by love.

Helen felt a,

sharp sting of,

pure deep regret,

knowing she could,

have helped her.

If she had,

stood up then,

told Vanessa stop,

her life would,

still be rich.

But she chose,

the wrong side,

the side of,

cruelty and pride,

losing her world.

She turned away,

walking in rain,

shivering with cold,

ignored by everyone,

passing her by.

Olivia saw her,

through the window,

feeling a brief,

moment of pity,

but letting go.

People must face,

the consequences clear,

of their choices,

good or bad,

in this life.

She turned back,

to a kid,

smiling with joy,

wiping his face,

feeling her purpose.

Her mother's spirit,

was alive here,

in this house,

May you like

built on love,

and true charity.
