The Reclusive Billionaire's Hidden Wife

I was the laughingstock at my sister's wedding for showing up without a date. My own father hu:miliat:ed me by shouting that nobody wanted me, then sh0ved me into the garden fountain while the guests applauded. I warned him not to forget that moment. Twenty minutes later, my billionaire husband arrived, and every smile froze.

“She couldn't even get herself a date!” my father's voice boomed across the garden of the Royal Palms Plaza in Miami, silencing the reception music.

Before I could take a step back, his hand sl:amm:ed into my shoulder. The sh0ve was brutal, deliberate, fueled by a rage he made no attempt to hide. The icy water stole my breath as I plunged into the massive marble fountain in the courtyard. When I surfaced, soaked to the bone with my silk dress completely ruined, the sound that greeted me was devastating.

The guests were applauding.

My sister, Penelope, dressed in her wedding gown, laughed hysterically from the arm of her brand-new husband, savoring my public humiliation. My mother simply looked away, ignoring the tears mixing with the water on my face.

I struggled to my feet in my broken heels, but I refused to lower my head. I locked eyes with my father, feeling the cold transform into a burning rage. Smiling through the dripping water, I wiped my face with the back of my hand and spoke in a voice so clear it silenced the front row.

“Remember this moment,” I said, staring at each member of my family. “Remember exactly what you've just done.”

My father burst into mocking laughter and turned his back on me, ordering the security guards to remove me from the venue for “ruining the event of the year.” The men in black marched toward me, ready to drag me out into the street as if I were an unwelcome trespasser.

Exactly twenty minutes later, the roar of an engine interrupted the wedding toast.

A convoy of three black armored SUVs screeched to a halt at the main entrance, blocking the driveway.

From the center vehicle stepped Blake Campbell.

The most reclusive billionaire in Miami, the man whose companies controlled half the city's real estate, strode confidently toward the garden. My father froze with a champagne glass halfway to his lips. My sister's face turned completely pale as Blake ignored the outstretched hands of the business elites in attendance. He walked straight to the fountain, removed his thousand-dollar cashmere overcoat, draped it over my soaked shoulders, and gently kissed my forehead.

A heavy, suffocating silence fell over the entire garden.

The man my family had just trampled in front of everyone literally controlled the financial future of nearly every guest in attendance, and no one was prepared for the secret Blake was about to reveal before Miami's high society.
