Chapter 11 - Flight to Geneva

Six hours later, the Sterling private jet pierced the cloudy skies over the Swiss Alps. Inside the luxurious cabin, the silence was suffocating. Julian sat across from Eleanor, staring at a map of Geneva displayed on his laptop screen. Leo was safe, guarded by Marcus Kane and a team of trusted former military contractors in an undisclosed compound in upstate New York.

Julian reached across the aisle, placing his warm hand over Eleanor’s ice-cold fingers. She didn't pull away, but she didn't look at him either.

"Eleanor," Julian began, his voice thick with emotion. "I don't expect you to forgive me. What I did that night... throwing you out, believing those lies... it’s the greatest shame of my life."

Eleanor looked out the oval window at the white peaks below. "You broke my heart, Julian. You looked at me like I was a monster. You let those men drag me out of my own home while my baby screamed."

"I was blind," Julian confessed, tears welling in his eyes. "I was so focused on protecting Leo that I let my fear poison my judgment. If I could trade my life to undo that moment, I would do it in a heartbeat."

Eleanor turned to face him, her expression carved from stone. "We get through tonight. We stop my mother. We protect our son. After that... we’ll see if there’s anything left of us to save."

The pilot’s voice crackled over the intercom: "Mr. Sterling, we are on final approach to Geneva Private Airport. Local security forces are standing by."
