Part 38

The execution of the Swiss counter-strike was swift, silent, and utterly devastating, taking less than forty-eight hours to complete from our Scottish sanctuary.

By utilizing our massive cash reserves and our deep connections within the International Monetary Fund, we quietly bought up the critical debt liquidities of the rogue banks.

By the time the Swiss billionaires realized what was happening, their institutional credit ratings had been downgraded to near-junk status, triggering a massive panic.

On Friday morning, the lead architect of the coalition, a powerful banker named Hans Werner, practically crawled to us, begging for an urgent video conference.

Alexander and I sat side by side at the terminal, looking down at the older man whose face was completely pale, lines of sheer terror etched deeply into his skin.

"Please, Lord Bennett, Madam Elena," Werner stammered, his hands shaking noticeably as he looked at us through the screen. "There has been a terrible misunderstanding."

"Our intentions were never to host a hostile campaign against your magnificent conglomerate. We were simply looking out for regional stability."

"We are prepared to dissolve our alliance immediately and sign any loyalty covenants you require if you will only restore our credit lines."

I sat back in my chair, crossing one elegant leg over the other, watching his desperate pleading with the cold detachment of a queen judging a treacherous peasant.

"You should have thought about regional stability before you dared to whisper our family names in the shadows, Mr. Werner," I said, my tone sharp and cutting.

"The Bennett-Vanguard group does not negotiate with terrified men who only find their morals when they are staring down the barrel of total financial ruin."

Alexander leaned forward slightly, his massive presence dominating the camera angle, his gray eyes locking onto the trembling banker with a chilling intensity.

"You will surrender forty-nine percent of your bank's voting shares to our daughter Sofia by five o'clock today," Alexander commanded, his voice heavy with finality.

"If the paperwork is not fully executed by then, we will release the internal audit records we discovered during our acquisition, ruining your name forever."

"You have six hours to decide if you want to be a subservient partner in our empire or a disgraced pauper sitting in a federal prison cell."

Without waiting for the man's response, Alexander slammed his hand down on the disconnect button, cutting the feed and leaving the room in a beautiful, victorious silence.
