Chapter 6 - Freezing the Rivers of Gold

The next morning,
I left the house before Vanessa even opened her eyes.
My first stop was the central branch of our national bank,
where I met with the regional manager.
I presented my personal identification,
our marriage certificates,
and the primary account details.
Because the majority of the wealth came from my engineering contracts,
my name was the primary entity on all accounts.
I showed the manager the photographic evidence of the forged power of attorney from the blue sewing box.
The manager’s face turned completely pale as he realized the massive scale of the ongoing fraud.
Within thirty minutes,
every single joint account,
credit card,
and investment line was frozen solid.
Vanessa’s access to my money was completely cut off,
leaving her with absolutely zero financial power.
Next,
I drove directly to the corporate headquarters of my legal team,
avoiding Bradley’s firm entirely.
I handed over the encrypted files,
the video evidence,
and the financial records to a senior partner.
“This is an airtight case of elder abuse,
grand larceny,
and corporate fraud,”
the attorney stated grimly.
He immediately drafted a petition for an emergency restraining order and an expedited divorce filing.
We bypassed the standard legal mediation,
moving straight for criminal charges against both Vanessa and Bradley.
I also contacted the local police department,
scheduling a formal meeting with the head detective of the abuse unit.
I laid out the entire case on his desk,
playing the horrific kitchen footage on my laptop screen.
The detective watched in grim silence,
his hands clenching into tight fists as the video played out.
“We have more than enough to make an arrest,
Mr.
Daniel,”
the detective said,
looking up at me with determination.
“Just tell us when you want us to move in on them.”
“Tonight,”
May you like
I replied coldly,
“I want her to know exactly how it feels to lose everything in a single moment.”
