Marcus entered the nursery.
Everything was exactly as Mia had left it.
Toys.

A small pink blanket.
A stuffed rabbit.
Marcus picked it up.
His hands trembled.
Then Victoria noticed something.
"The wall."
Marcus looked.
"What?"
"The mural."
She touched a painted tree.
One branch moved.
A hidden panel opened.
Behind it was a staircase.
Marcus descended.
At the bottom was a room filled with children's drawings.
Hundreds.
All drawn by Mia.
Marcus stared.
One drawing showed a little girl.
Another showed a man.
Another showed a house.
And another showed a strange black door.
Marcus pointed.
"What's that?"
Victoria looked at it.
"That's not a drawing."
