Chapter 11

The download hit hundred,
and Clara pulled drive,
shoving it in pocket.
"Move now!"
she ordered Marco loudly,
as footsteps ran down,
the long metal hallway.
The glass window shattered,
as bullets flew through,
the air above them.
They ducked down low,

crawling behind heavy desks,
as wood splinters flew.
Marco returned fire quickly,
two precise shots fired,
stopping the first attacker.
They ran toward exit,
but the main door,
was blocked by men.
"The fire escape Marco,"
Clara pointed to window,
leading to the outside.
He smashed the glass,
and helped her out,
onto the slippery iron.
They climbed down fast,
as rain poured harder,
making every step dangerous.
Searchlights found them there,
illuminating their escape route,
like actors on stage.
Shots rang out behind,
hitting the iron structure,
with loud metallic clangs.
They reached the ground,
running toward their car,
parked outside the perimeter.
The engine roared loudly,
as Marco hit gas,

spinning tires on mud.
The armored sedan launched,
smashing through the gates,
escaping into the night.
Behind them the docks,
were alive with flashing,
lights of angry men.
Clara breathed heavily inside,
checking her coat pocket,
ensuring the drive was,
perfectly safe and dry.
"We got it Marco,"
she whispered through darkness,
a smile on lips.
"We have their secrets,
and now we know,
exactly who they are."
They drove through streets,
heading back to safety,
of their hidden hotel.
The first round belonged,
to the Sterling Group,
but the war was,
just starting to heat,
May you like
up in the cold,
rainy streets of London.
