Chapter 10 - THE EVERLASTING HOME

That evening, the sun set in brilliant shades of crimson, gold, and soft violet over the ocean horizon at the Long Island estate.

The fortress that had once been cold, silent, and hollow was now filled with light, laughter, and music.

The grand dining table in the west wing was set for a large family dinner. Dr. Bennett, Theresa Marino, Viktor, Leo, and several community leaders from Brooklyn sat together, enjoying a feast of roasted meats, fresh vegetables, and warm pastries prepared by Hannah and her team.

After dinner, Hannah walked out onto the stone terrace overlooking the ocean, holding a sleeping Lucas wrapped in a cozy knit blanket.

The cool night sea breeze blew gently through her hair.

Adrian stepped out behind her, wrapping a warm cashmere coat around her shoulders and encircling both her and Lucas in his broad, strong arms.

"What are you thinking about, sweetheart?" Adrian asked softly, resting his chin on her shoulder.

Hannah looked down at Lucas’s peaceful face, then turned her head to look into Adrian's dark, loving eyes.

"I was thinking about the night you walked into my bakery," Hannah whispered softly, her voice filled with deep emotion. "You were the scariest man I had ever seen... holding the smallest baby I had ever held."

Adrian smiled, a genuine, beautiful smile that reached his eyes. "I came looking for a miracle to save my son's life."

"And what did you find?" she asked gently.

Adrian leaned down, pressing his lips softly against her forehead before looking down at their sleeping boy.

"I found our home," Adrian promised from the absolute depths of his soul. "I found the heart that saved us both."

As the stars filled the night sky above the private shore, the dark shadows of the past faded away forever, leaving behind an unbreakable sanctuary built on love, healing, and everlasting peace.
