Chapter 33 - Unlocking the Blueprint

The hum of the servers filled the concrete bunker as Julian slotted the micro-SD card into an offline decryption terminal. I stood behind him, my hand resting protectively on Irene's shoulder.
"This encryption is military-grade," Julian muttered, his fingers flying across the keyboard. "Your father didn't want anyone stumbling onto this by accident. It's going to take a brute-force algorithm to crack the outer shell."
"Can you do it?" I asked.
"Give me five minutes," Julian replied, his eyes locked on the scrolling green code.
Irene leaned against me, her body tense. "My father told me that the Architect's entire empire is built on a single vulnerability. A shadow ledger. It tracks every politician they’ve bribed, every judge they’ve bought, and every assassination they’ve funded."
The computer chimed sharply. A massive web of names, bank accounts, and offshore shell companies exploded onto the screen.
"Holy hell," Julian whispered, leaning closer to the monitor. "It's all here. Trillions of dollars moving through dummy corporations in the Caymans, real estate in Dubai, and private banks in Zurich."
Julian clicked on a central node in the web, labeled simply: The Architect.
A heavily redacted profile appeared. There was no photograph, just a name: Elias Thorne.
"Elias Thorne," I read aloud. "The billionaire tech mogul? The guy who builds smart-city infrastructure in Europe?"
"It's the perfect cover," Julian said, his voice laced with dark realization. "He builds the security grids for major cities, which gives his syndicate backdoor access to cameras, police databases, and traffic control. That's how they found us on the highway. We weren't being tracked by a bug on the car... we were being tracked by the traffic cameras."
Irene gripped my arm. "If he controls the grid, nowhere is safe."

"Then we don't hide," I said, a cold, hard resolve settling over me. "We take the fight to him. Where is Elias Thorne right now?"
Julian typed rapidly. "According to a leaked social itinerary... he's hosting an exclusive charity gala in Miami tomorrow night."
