Chapter 18 - THE CRACK OF JUSTICE
Logan stepped around the wooden corner,
his eyes locked onto my face instantly,
there you are you little rat,
he hissed with a cruel grin,
raising the heavy iron pipe high,
preparing to strike my wounded head,
I screamed and threw the bottle hard,
it hit his shoulder and shattered,
but it did not stop his movement,
he lunged forward with pure rage,
knocking me down to the hard floor,
my backpack absorbed some of the impact,
but my head hit the concrete lightly,
sending white sparks through my vision,
he pinned my arms down with knees,
his face was inches from mine,
you ruined my life he screamed out,
now I am going to end yours,
but before the pipe could fall down,
the warehouse doors burst open wide,
bright flashlights cut through the dark,
police officers flooded the room quickly,
drop the weapon right now they shouted,
Logan froze in total surprise today,
looking at the shining blue uniforms,
he tried to stand up and fight,
but a loud taser shot rang out,
the wires hit his thick chest,
and his body went completely rigid,
he fell sideways onto the floor,
shaking violently from the electric current,
the officers rushed forward immediately,
pinning him down and locking cuffs,
for the second time that month,
Officer Martinez knelt down beside me,
are you okay Miss Carter he asked,
his face was full of deep concern,
I nodded my head very slowly,
tears finally running down my cheeks,

as the nightmare was ended for good,
the monster was caught in trap.
