Chapter 18 - THE FALL OF THE DYNASTY

With Clara free,

the police officers lunged forward to subdue the enraged Arthur Vance.

But Arthur,

blinded by his fury,

backed up too quickly against the floor-to-ceiling glass window.

The heavy glass,

already stressed by his impact,

shattered into thousands of crystal pieces with a loud crack.

Arthur lost his balance,

his arms flailing wildly as he tipped backward into the open air.

A horrific scream escaped his lips as he fell from the penthouse floor of the tower.

The silence that followed was heavy and absolute,

broken only by the wind rushing through the broken window.

The board members ran to the edge,

looking down at the street far below in absolute horror.

Arthur Vance was dead,

his life ended by his own chaotic and malicious actions.

Victoria closed her eyes,

feeling a mix of relief and profound sadness for her broken family.

Clara sat on the floor,

breathing heavily as Victoria wrapped her arms around her in comfort.

"It's over,

Clara,"

Victoria whispered,

tears of relief flowing freely down her cheeks.

"We are finally safe."

The police officers secured the area,

while Richard Sterling walked over to comfort the two women.

"You were incredibly brave,

both of you,"

Sterling said,

looking at them with deep respect.

The nightmare that had started with a poisoned glass of juice was finally over.

The Vance dynasty had survived the internal rot,

cleansed by the fire of truth.
