Part 19

With the final loose ends of the past completely severed, the summer brought incredible professional opportunities for Sofia.

She and Ethan decided to officially open their own boutique interior design and architectural consulting firm in London.

Alexander, true to his word, wanted to provide a massive financial investment to kickstart the business.

But Sofia politely declined his offer, choosing instead to secure a small, independent business loan using her own merit.

"I want to build this from the ground up with my own hands, Dad," she told him during a phone call.

"Your support and love are more than enough for me."

Alexander was incredibly touched by her independence, realizing that she had inherited his sharp business mindset.

The firm, named 'Aura Design', opened its doors in a trendy district of East London.

Within the first month, their unique combination of modern structure and warm, sustainable interiors attracted local media attention.

Sofia sent us a copy of a prominent design magazine featuring a two-page spread about their work.

There was a beautiful photograph of her and Ethan standing inside a beautifully renovated loft space.

She looked confident, professional, and radiantly happy.

I framed the magazine article and hung it prominently in the hallway of my home.

Whenever friends came over and asked about Sofia, I no longer had to navigate the awkward, painful topic of the trial.

I could simply point to the frame and talk about her flourishing career across the ocean.

Alexander did the exact same thing, placing a duplicate frame right behind his massive mahogany desk at his corporate headquarters.

Our daughter had transformed her trauma into a beautiful empire of creativity and peace.
