But his audio began in the car before they entered the house.

“Because Rachel keeps acting like Claire is the reasonable one.”
Kelsey laughed.
“You want your sister-in-law to hear her lose it?”
“Wouldn’t hurt.”

Not:
Hit Claire.
Not:
Threaten her.
Something more subtle.
He wanted evidence of me becoming emotional.
Pregnant.
Betrayed.
