Part 34

By Monday, the regular rhythm of our lives at the design studio resumed, but with a vibrant new energy pulsing through the halls.

Sofia and Ethan were already at their desks when Alexander and I arrived, deeply immersed in reviewing the blueprints for a major new project.

The studio had become a symbol of our resilience; it was the business we had nearly lost during the bitter legal war, now thriving more than ever.

As I walked past Sofia's desk, I noticed she had a small, subtle smile on her face as she sketched a beautiful floral pattern for a client's courtyard.

"How are you feeling today, sweetheart?" I asked quietly, pulling up a chair beside her so we wouldn't disturb the design team nearby.

Sofia placed her pencil down, turning to me with eyes that shone with absolute clarity and happiness.

"I feel wonderful, Mom," she said, reaching out to squeeze my hand. "A little tired in the mornings, but honestly, I've never felt more inspired."

She looked out the large glass windows of the studio, watching the city moving bustlingly below us.

"For years, every creative thought I had was blocked by fear and stress," she murmured, her voice dropping to a reflective whisper. "But now, knowing this little life is growing inside me, it’s like a dam has broken. All I want to do is create beautiful things for them to see."

Ethan walked over then, setting down a cup of warm chamomile tea in front of her, his hand lingering on her shoulder for a long, loving moment.

"The doctor confirmed our first official ultrasound appointment for Friday," Ethan announced, his face practically glowing with anticipation.

Alexander stepped out of his private office just in time to hear the news, a wide, proud smile spreading across his face as he walked over to join our circle.
