Part 50

By the time late May arrived, the weather had grown wonderfully warm, and the garden was in full, magnificent bloom, filled with vibrant colors.
We decided to host a private, intimate family gathering at our home to celebrate Maya’s two-month milestone and the official completion of our healing journey.
Alexander spent the entire morning setting up a large, comfortable blanket and plush cushions on the soft green grass beneath the shade of the old oak tree.
Ethan and Sofia arrived around noon, Maya dressed in a beautiful, light yellow sundress that made her look like a tiny, radiant drop of pure sunshine.
We spent the afternoon laughing, sharing stories, and passing the baby back and forth, enjoying the simple, unhurried luxury of being together.
Alexander sat on the grass with Maya lying flat on his chest, her tiny hands gripping his collar as he whispered soft, playful stories into her ear.
I sat nearby, capturing the beautiful moment with my camera, watching the way the dappled sunlight filtered through the leaves, illuminating their faces.
"Look at this," Ethan murmured to Sofia, his arm wrapped tightly around her waist as they watched Alexander and the baby. "This is what a real legacy looks like."
May you like
Sofia nodded, her eyes bright with a deep, emotional clarity as she rested her head against Ethan's shoulder, completely at peace.
There were no more battles to fight, no more secrets to guard, and no more storms to weather; we had finally reached the shore.
