Chapter 3 - The Fatal Collision

The world seemed to slow down,

as the little girl tripped,

falling forward with a soft gasp,

her small hands reaching out blindly,

searching for anything to catch her.

"Oh!"

she cried out softly,

her voice tiny,

yet it cut through the laughter,

catching the attention of those nearby.

A guest nearby noticed her,

pointing in sudden shock,

screaming a frantic warning,

"Watch out!"

But it was already too late,

the momentum was too strong,

and she crashed heavily against Julian's legs.

The impact was sudden,

startling the groom completely,

causing his hand to jerk violently,

losing his grip on the stem.

"My glass!"

Julian shouted,

as the expensive crystal slipped away,

flying through the air,

spinning in slow motion,

before crashing hard against the marble floor.

It shattered into a thousand sharp pieces,

the amber liquid splashing everywhere,

staining the pristine white carpet,

ruining the perfect setup.

Vanessa screamed in horror,

stepping back quickly,

looking at her stained dress,

her face contorting with immediate rage,

her mask of elegance slipping.

The music stopped abruptly,

the guests froze in absolute silence,

staring at the broken glass,

May you like

staring at the crying little girl,

as the atmosphere turned freezing cold.
