Chapter 18 - Unmasking the Conspiracy

Elena walked into the boardroom,
holding six-year-old Toby by one hand,
while little Ivy trotted happily beside them carrying her stuffed rabbit.
Toby wore a clean navy blazer and crisp white shirt,
standing tall despite the intimidating crowd of powerful executives surrounding the table.
The entire boardroom went dead silent.
Color drained entirely from Victor Vance’s face as he stared at the boy.
“That.
.
.
that’s impossible,” Vance stammered,
gripping the edges of the mahogany table so hard his knuckles turned white.
“The institution on Delancey Street was sealed!”
“It was sealed under a false corporate front that you embezzled four hundred million dollars to maintain,
Victor,” Julian corrected coldly,
stepping forward and tossing the mahogany lockbox onto the center of the table.
Arthur opened the lid,
sliding Clara’s original trust documents,
DNA authentication certificates,
and decrypted financial ledgers across the polished wood toward the stunned board members.
“These documents prove beyond any shadow of a doubt that Toby Hail is my late sister Clara’s biological son and the sole legal heir to the Hail dynasty,” Julian declared,
his voice ringing with absolute authority.
“Furthermore,
the digital flash drives contain irrefutable proof that Victor Vance systematically looted corporate charitable funds,
falsified probate records,
and orchestrated the assassination attempt against my sister five years ago.
”
The board members frantically flipped through the parchment pages and examined the digital readouts displayed on the central boardroom monitors.
Whispers of outrage erupted around the table.
