Chapter 15 - The FactoryThe factory stood abandoned beneath a moonless sky.
Ryan entered alone.
Daniel waited inside.
Caroline stood beside him.
“You finally came,” Daniel said.
Ryan looked at his brother.
“Did you kill Dad?”
Daniel smiled.
“Straight to the point.”
Caroline placed a laptop on a table.
“Authorize the transfer.”
“Then what?”
“You walk away.”
Ryan laughed.
“You expect me to believe that?”
Caroline's smile disappeared.
“You married me for three years,” she said. “You believed plenty.”
That hurt more than Ryan expected.
Then Daniel stepped closer.
“Do it.”
Ryan looked around.
Where were the police?
His hidden transmitter should have been working.
Then Caroline smiled again.
“We found your microphone ten minutes ago.”
Ryan's stomach dropped.
