Chapter 10 - THE EVIDENCE UNVEILED

The ballroom had transformed,

from a place of celebration,

into a tense,

dramatic crime scene,

filled with whispers.

Detective Vance,

a sharp,

no-nonsense investigator,

arrived with several police officers,

their sirens wailing in the distance,

cutting through the night.

He walked into the center of the room,

his trench coat damp from the cold rain,

his eyes assessing the situation quickly,

taking in every detail.

He looked at the shattered glass,

the spilled wine on the floor,

the trembling wife,

and the restrained husband.

"What happened here?"

Detective Vance asked,

his voice calm but authoritative,

demanding the absolute truth.

Elena stepped forward,

handed him her phone,

showing him the video,

and the photos she had taken,

in Julian's private study.

The detective watched the video closely,

his expression hardening with every second,

recognizing the gravity of the crime.

He then looked at the photos of the financial documents,

the bank notices,

and the lethal chemical formula,

connecting all the pieces together.

"Clear motive,"

Vance muttered to his partner,

"financial fraud,

attempted murder,

and premeditated malice."

He turned to Julian,

who was now slouched,

his head hanging low,

all his confidence completely gone,

replaced by a pathetic despair.

"Julian Vance,"

the detective stated firmly,

"you are under arrest,

for the attempted murder of Evelyn Vance,

and grand financial fraud."

The officers stepped forward,

pulling Julian’s hands behind his back,

clicking the cold metal handcuffs,

around his wrists.

Julian looked up one last time,

his eyes meeting Evelyn’s cold,

unyielding gaze,

but he found no mercy there,

only a profound,

burning hatred.

As he was led away,

the guests parted,

avoiding his gaze,

May you like

casting him out of their elite circle,

forever.
