Chapter 12 - The Downfall of Julian

While Lady Eleanor was being arrested,
Julian attempted to flee the country via his private helicopter on the roof.
Clara noticed his absence and ran up the stairs,
determined not to let him escape justice.
Elena followed her,
refusing to let her sister face danger alone anymore.
They reached the rooftop just as the helicopter blades began to spin,
creating a violent wind that whipped their hair.
Julian was running toward the chopper,
clutching a briefcase full of stolen cash and bonds.
"Julian,
stop,"
Clara screamed,
her voice cutting through the roar of the engine.
Julian turned around,
his face twisted in a desperate,
ugly snarl.
"Get out of my way,
Clara,"
he yelled,
raising a gun once again.
But this time,
he was cornered,
with nowhere left to run.
Elena noticed a heavy metal fire extinguisher nearby,
and without hesitation,
she threw it at his legs.
The impact knocked him down,
the briefcase flying open,
sending millions of dollars scattering into the night sky like confetti.
Clara rushed forward,
kicking the gun out of his hand,
pinning him to the cold concrete roof.
"Your game is over,
Julian,"
Clara said,
her voice cold and full of absolute victory.
The federal agents burst onto the roof,
quickly securing Julian and dragging him away in chains.
He looked at Clara with pure hatred,
but she felt nothing but pity for the pathetic man.
She turned to Elena,
and they looked out over the city skyline,
the storm finally passing.

They had won their freedom,
and their father's name was finally cleared.
