Chapter 24
The journey back to the countryside felt entirely different from the trip to the city.
The heavy cloud cover slowly broke apart,
revealing the brilliant gold of the setting sun.
They sat together on the train,
watching the concrete buildings melt away into rolling hills and open fields.
Sophie rested her head on her mother’s shoulder,
watching the sky turn a beautiful shade of pink and orange.
"Are you sad about the money,
Mom?"
Sophie asked softly,
her eyes reflecting the warm colors of the sunset.
Evelyn laughed,
a sound as pure and bright as a morning bell,
kissing the top of her daughter's head.
"Never,
my beautiful girl,"

Evelyn replied,
squeezing her tightly.
"Money can buy a grand house,
but it can never buy the peace we feel right now."
"You did the most beautiful thing possible;
you turned their cold greed into warmth for others."
They shared a quiet moment of absolute contentment,
knowing that their true wealth was sitting right next to them.
