Chapter 14 - The Prison Visitor
Two days later,
a visitor arrived at the county jail.
The groom looked through the thick glass,
shocked to see the beautiful bride.
She picked up the telephone receiver,
and he slowly did the exact same.
"Are you happy now,"
he asked with a broken voice.
"I will be happy when you are forgotten,"
she answered coldly.
"I really did love you in the end,"
he whispered through the speaker.
"You do not know how to love anyone,"
she replied without a single ounce of pity.
"You used me for my family money,"
she glared at him,
"and you threw your daughter away like trash."
She hung up the phone abruptly,
refusing to listen to his pathetic excuses.
