Chapter 2 - The Escape From Reality

She ran to her dressing room,
locking the heavy wooden door.
Tears ruined her perfect makeup,
staining her white silk dress.
Her mother knocked on the door,
pleading to be let inside.
"Please go away,"
the bride shouted in pain.
She looked in the large mirror,
hating the woman she saw.
She was so incredibly blind,
so stupid to trust him.
He had built a perfect illusion,
using his charming words.
She grabbed a pair of scissors,
and stared at her wedding dress.
In a fit of wild rage,
she cut the beautiful fabric.
The dress fell in ruined pieces,
matching her broken spirit.
