Chapter 11 - The Verdict Draws Near

Judge: We have heard from all witnesses,
we have reviewed the financial records,
and the character testimonies.
Groom: My palms are sweating,
I cannot breathe,
what if I lose everything today?
Mother: You will not lose,
we paid the best legal team in the country,
we bought the best narrative.
Groom: A narrative is not the truth,
and the truth was sitting in that witness box,
crying for her child.
Mother: Stop being weak,
you wanted the boy,
now you must fight for him.
Groom: I never wanted the boy,
I just wanted to punish her for ruining my wedding,
I wanted to win.
Mother: Keep your voice down,
if the judge hears you say that,
we are completely doomed.
Judge: I am ready to issue my ruling,
this has been a highly disturbing case,
revealing a shocking level of deceit.
Maid: Please God,
let him see the truth,
do not let them take my baby.
Judge: Regarding the custody of the minor child, Leo,
I find the father's sudden interest highly suspect,
motivated by malice rather than paternal love.
Groom: No,
that is not fair,
I am his father.
Judge: You forfeited your right to be called a father,
when you suggested the child be terminated,
and subsequently abandoned him for five years.
Maid: Thank you,
oh my god,
thank you.
Judge: I am awarding full sole legal and physical custody to the mother,
the father will have no visitation rights,
and a permanent restraining order is granted.
Groom: You cannot do this,
you cannot keep me away from my son,
I have rights.
Judge: You have the right to pay child support,
which I am setting at the absolute maximum allowed by state law,
retroactive for the past five years.
Groom: That will bankrupt me,
my company is already failing,
I do not have millions in cash lying around.
Judge: That is not the court's problem,
furthermore, on the charges of criminal fraud regarding the marriage license,
I am referring this case to the district attorney.
Mother: This is an outrage,
we will appeal this decision,
this judge is clearly biased.
Judge: You can appeal all you want,
but my ruling stands,
court is adjourned.
Bride: We won,
he got exactly what he deserved,
he is finished.
Maid: I can finally breathe,
my son is safe,
he can never hurt us again.
Groom: I have nothing,
no company,
no wife,
no son.
Mother: Let us go,
do not let them see you cry,
we will plan our next move.
Groom: There is no next move, Mom,
May you like
it is over,
the game is finally over.
