Chapter 14: Restoring the Grand Ballroom

To celebrate the completion of the hotel's facility upgrades and the launch of the new staff initiative, Sienna organized an unprecedented event: the First Annual St. Moritz Family Gala.

The grand ballroom was decorated with white lilies, glowing candlelight, and warm silk drapery. But the guests of honor were not city politicians or wealthy investors. They were the employees and their families, sitting alongside local community leaders, vendors, and staff members from every division.

Julian Sterling attended as a guest, sitting quietly at a table near the side wing. He watched his daughter, Victoria, who was moving gracefully through the room—not to show off a designer gown, but to welcome guests, help an elderly retired valet to his seat, and laugh warmly with the kitchen team.

Julian felt a strange, unaccustomed warmth in his chest. He realized that the daughter standing before him tonight was happier, stronger, and more respected than the arrogant girl who had walked into the lobby weeks ago.

Sienna stood near the front entrance, wearing an elegant dark emerald gown, chatting with Officer Wright and Maya.

Victoria walked up to her, holding two glasses of sparkling apple cider. She handed one to Sienna with a gentle smile.

"Everything is running perfectly, Miss Mercer," Victoria reported with a professional wink. "The ventilation is cool, the linens are folded, and the staff is happy."

Sienna clinked her glass against Victoria’s. "You've done an incredible job, Victoria. My father would have been proud of this room."
