The reviews of The Vault hit the international press the following morning like a tidal wave. Monsieur Laurent’s article in L'Étoile de l'Hospitalité was not merely a review; it was an impassioned love letter to the St. Moritz.
"In an era of sterile corporate monoliths that treat guests like numbers on a spreadsheet," Laurent wrote in his opening paragraph, "Sienna Vance has resurrected the very soul of luxury. The St. Moritz does not just offer a bed for the night; it offers a living, breathing piece of history."
Sienna sat at her grand mahogany desk, reading the printed article with a quiet sense of profound satisfaction.
Maya knocked gently on the open office door before stepping inside, her arms full of thick, cream-colored reservation ledgers.
"We are officially fully booked for the next eight months, Ms. Vance," Maya announced, a triumphant grin spreading across her face. "The phones have not stopped ringing since the article went live in Paris."
"That is wonderful news, Maya," Sienna replied, setting the article down. "But please ensure we do not overbook the staff. We must scale up our service, not our stress levels. The moment we start cutting corners, we become Vanguard."
"Understood completely," Maya said. "We are already pulling from the new applicant pool. Oh, and Julian Thorne called the main desk."
Sienna’s eyebrows rose slightly. "Did he leave a message?"
"He refused to speak to anyone but you, but when I told him you were in a meeting, he just laughed," Maya explained, her expression darkening. "He said to tell you, 'The first battle is not the war.' It sounded incredibly bitter."
"Let him be bitter," Sienna said, turning her attention to the day's financial projections. "Julian relies on intimidation because he lacks imagination. We will simply keep doing what we do best."
