Chapter 35 - The Expansion Dilemma

The decision to renovate The Grand Belle weighed heavily on Sienna. It was a monumental undertaking that would stretch the St. Moritz's capital to its absolute limits.
She convened a late-night meeting in her office with Victoria, Chef Andre, and Maya. She laid out the blueprints and photographs of the dilapidated chateau across the desk.
"It is a breathtaking property," Victoria noted, tracing the lines of the estate. "But the financial liability is staggering. If Julian Thorne catches wind that our capital is tied up in a rural construction project, he will launch another aggressive buyout campaign."
"He will try," Sienna agreed. "But if we succeed, we create an ecosystem. Guests spend the week at the St. Moritz in the city, and the weekend at The Grand Belle in the country. It secures our independence permanently."
"What about the staffing?" Maya asked, taking notes. "We can't stretch our current team across two properties."
"We will promote from within," Sienna decided. "The junior staff here will become the senior leadership there. It gives our employees a path for upward mobility that corporate hotels cannot match."
Chef Andre leaned over the photographs, his culinary imagination already running wild.
"The grounds out there... they look fertile," Andre pointed out. "We could plant our own vineyards. Grow our own produce on-site. We wouldn't just be buying from local farms; we would become one."
Sienna smiled, feeling the energy in the room shift from apprehension to genuine excitement.
"It is a massive risk," Sienna said, looking at her core team. "I won't do it unless we are all in agreement. This requires all of us."
Victoria looked at the young woman she had once tried to push out of the hotel. She saw a fearless, visionary leader.
"Your father was too afraid of the financial risk to finish this project," Victoria said softly. "Don't inherit his fear, Sienna. Inherit his dream. I vote we build it."
"I'm in," Andre agreed eagerly.

"Me too," Maya smiled.
"Then it is decided," Sienna declared, rolling up the blueprints with a decisive snap. "We are bringing The Grand Belle back to life."
