The challenge of opening The Grand Belle was ensuring it shared the soul of the St. Moritz without feeling like a mere carbon copy. Sienna wanted the two properties to feel like distinct chapters of the same beautiful story.
To achieve this, she initiated an internal exchange program.
Senior staff from the St. Moritz were brought out to the chateau to train the new hires, instilling the core philosophy of hospitality—respect, empathy, and absolute dedication to the guest experience.
Maya, the brilliant front desk agent from the city, was promoted to Guest Relations Manager at The Grand Belle. Sienna watched her one afternoon as she trained a group of new concierges in the chateau’s sunlit lobby.
"We do not read from a script," Maya instructed the attentive new staff. "We read the guest. If they are exhausted from travel, we offer quiet efficiency. If they are here to celebrate, we match their joy. We are the architects of their memory."
Sienna smiled, feeling a surge of immense pride. She had empowered Maya, and now Maya was empowering others. The culture of fear Victoria had once established was entirely eradicated, replaced by a legacy of mentorship.
Later that evening, Sienna sat in the quiet library of the chateau, reviewing final budgets. The door opened softly, and Marcus, the maintenance director, walked in. He looked tired but deeply satisfied.
"The old plumbing system fought us until the very end," Marcus chuckled, taking a seat opposite her. "But the water is running clear, and the heating is stable. The old girl is ready to breathe again."
"Thank you, Marcus," Sienna said sincerely. "You’ve worked miracles out here."
"I just fixed the pipes, Ms. Vance," Marcus replied humbly. "You gave the building its heart back."
