Chapter 62 - The Independent Coalition

|
The establishment of the 'Vance-Thorne Independent Hospitality Coalition' sent a shockwave of hope through the global hotel industry. What started as a defense mechanism quickly blossomed into a powerful alliance of historic properties across the country. They shared ethical supply chains, pooled resources for staff training, and provided a united legal front against corporate monopolies.
Six months later, the St. Moritz was not just a hotel; it was the flagship of a revolution.
Sienna stood in the grand ballroom of the St. Moritz, overseeing the preparations for the Coalition's inaugural summit. The room was buzzing with the owners of beautiful, historic hotels from New Orleans to San Francisco, all brought together by the vision of preservation and dignity.
Victoria approached her, carrying a sleek silver clipboard.
"The delegates from the Charleston estate have arrived, and Chef Andre has prepared the tasting menu for the reception," Victoria reported with crisp efficiency. She paused, looking around the magnificent room. "Your father would be utterly astounded by what you have accomplished, Sienna."
"I think he would be astounded by us both, Victoria," Sienna replied warmly, linking her arm through her stepmother’s. "I couldn't have navigated this without your guidance."
Victoria smiled, a genuine, soft expression that erased years of bitterness. "We make a formidable team."
Maya hurried across the ballroom floor, looking sharp in her tailored manager’s suit.
"Ms. Vance, the keynote speaker is delayed due to traffic, but I have already rearranged the schedule and moved the cocktail hour forward to cover the gap," Maya informed her seamlessly.
"Excellent work, Maya," Sienna said, looking at the young woman who had grown from a nervous front desk agent into a powerhouse of hospitality logistics.
Sienna took a step back, looking at Maya intently.
"Actually, Maya, I need to speak with you in my office before the reception begins. It is a matter of urgent hotel business."
May you like
Maya blinked, a flicker of concern crossing her face. "Of course, Ms. Vance. Right away."
Sienna led the way out of the ballroom, a secret, joyous smile playing on her lips. It was time to secure the future.
