Chapter 59 - The Royal Favor

|
The transfer of funds from the Principality of Monaco was executed with flawless, silent precision. Within twenty-four hours, the debt of every single farmer in the Willow Creek cooperative was paid in full, directly bypassing Vanguard’s holding companies.
The land was safe. The farms were secured in an impenetrable, international protective trust.
Evelyn, however, was completely unaware of the royal intervention. Believing she had successfully cornered Sienna, the Vanguard CEO called for a mandatory, emergency shareholder meeting. Her intention was to publicly humiliate Sienna and initiate the hostile takeover of the St. Moritz using the minority shares acquired by Obsidian Holdings.
Sienna stood in the lobby of the St. Moritz, adjusting the cuffs of her immaculate, tailored emerald suit. Victoria stood to her left, exuding aristocratic grace, while Julian stood to her right, looking sharp, dangerous, and completely focused.
"Are we ready?" Sienna asked, looking at her two unlikely allies.
"I have been dreaming of this moment for six months," Julian smiled, a predatory gleam in his eyes.
"Let's go slay a dragon," Victoria agreed smoothly.
The three of them walked out of the hotel and climbed into a waiting town car. The drive to Vanguard Tower was silent, thick with electric anticipation.
When they arrived at the towering glass monolith, the security guards hesitated, recognizing Julian, their former CEO, walking side-by-side with the enemy. But as registered minority shareholders via the St. Moritz trust, they had every legal right to attend the meeting.
They bypassed the front desk and took the private elevator directly to the executive boardroom.
The doors slid open, revealing a massive, sterile room filled with dozens of wealthy investors, board members, and corporate lawyers. At the head of the table stood Evelyn Vance, looking triumphant and arrogant.
Evelyn stopped mid-sentence as Sienna, Victoria, and Julian walked into the room. The entire boardroom fell dead silent, the air instantly freezing.
"Ms. Vance," Evelyn sneered, recovering her composure quickly. "You have incredible audacity crashing this meeting. Have you come to surrender the deeds to your little country farms?"
May you like
Sienna did not stop walking until she reached the opposite end of the long glass table. She placed her leather portfolio down with a sharp, echoing snap.
"I haven't come to surrender anything, Evelyn," Sienna replied, her voice ringing with absolute, terrifying calm. "I have come to fire you."
